EYEBROW TATTOO AFTERCARE ROUTINE
The healing process requires patience. Please ensure you've read this information as your healed results rely heavily on how well you can follow the aftercare advice.
✔ Do
• Follow the aftercare properly to allow your brows to heal as well as they should.
• Keep your brows as clean and dry as you can for the first 7-14 days.
Too much lymph fluid, water, sweat & oil will result in scabs instead of a film. Scabs will result in patchy brows.
✘ Don’t
• Touch or scratch your eyebrows – touching or picking could cause irritation, infection & loss of pigment.
• Exercise for at least 2-5 days after your treatment due to sweating. Gentle exercise is okay after the first few days.
• Put make up, cleansers, lotions etc. on or close to your brows for 1-2 weeks to avoid irritation & cross contamination.
• Use saunas, steam rooms or swimming pools for 2 weeks due to sweating, risk of getting your brows wet & hygiene.
• Have facials, lash extensions or other face beauty treatments done for 2 weeks to avoid irritation & cross contamination.
• Use brow tint, sunbeds, chemical peels or any strong face treatment for 4 weeks as your skin will not be healed enough.
• Use anti-aging creams, chemical peels, acids or retinols on or close to your brows ever!
These products strip the skin, change your skin and the chemicals in them will react and affect with the ink / retention.
Other things that can contribute to premature fading:
Frequent exercising & sweating / Oily skin / Fast metabolism / Iron deficiency / Hypo/er thyroidism / Hormone replacement medications / Other daily medications / Smoking / Sunbeds & sunbathing / Not using sun protection / Excessive exfoliating / Harsh cleansers or anti-aging products

Cleaning – Day 1 - Immediately after
With your new brows complete we want to prevent a build-up of lymph fluid to stop a thick scab forming. When you get home wash your brows with the green soap provided in the pump bottle. Use 1 pump, separated onto your fingertips, to make gentle circular motions over your brows for around 8-10 seconds. Rinse with lukewarm water & then use a clean tissue (provided) to thoroughly pat your brows dry. We do not want to leave any moisture on your brows.
Cleaning – Day 1 – Rest of the day
For the rest of the day keep an eye on your brows to ensure they aren’t looking ‘juicy’ (lymph fluid). If they do appear to have clear / yellow droplets on them (lymph fluid), use a saline wipe (provided) to gently wipe over your brows from middle to tail. Before bed, gently wash your brows again with the green soap & thoroughly dry.
Cleaning - Day 2 until the film has lifted
When you wake up & before you go to bed, you will need to wash your brows with green soap the same way as before and thoroughly dry. Once your brows start feeling more dry (usually day 3 or 4 onward) you can start using a very small amount of AfterInked lotion (provided) after you have washed and dried your brows. Let your brows air dry for a few minutes, then apply a 'grain of rice' mount of AfterInked so your brows are slightly moisturised. Your brows shouldn’t look shiny or greasy after the cream has been applied. The AfterInked lotion will help to minimise flaking & itchiness, and will help to heal your skin.
After the film has fully lifted
Your brows will look lighter & possibly patchy compared to when freshly done. This is because you’re seeing your brows through healing skin which is thicker than normal skin. You can return to your usual face washing & make up routine after this point, but you still need to be careful with your brows for the full 6 weeks. Although your skin will look healed, it is still recovering under the surface so may feel tender. Don’t rub too hard, exfoliate or apply any strong products that may damage your regenerating skin.

Top tips
• When cleaning, make sure you are wiping / pressing firmly enough so that you are actually cleaning your brows, but not too hard that you’re hurting yourself, irritating the tattoo or pulling the peel off.
• If your brows feel extra flakey or scabby, do not overcompensate by using lots more After Inked. By overloading your brows with too much After Inked, you’re just trapping moisture behind the flakes / scabs which will delay healing.
• If you're getting closer to day 14 and still have a lot of flakes left, you probably haven't been cleaning firmly enough and you'll need to cleanse more to assist the film coming away. You may also have film trapped in your hairs.
