EYEBROW TATTOO AFTERCARE ROUTINE

The healing process requires patience. Please ensure you've read this information as your healed results rely heavily on how well you can follow the aftercare advice.

✔ Do
• Follow the aftercare properly to allow your brows to heal as well as they should.
• Keep your brows as clean and dry as you can for the first 7-14 days.
Too much lymph fluid, water, sweat & oil will result in scabs instead of a film. Scabs will result in patchy brows.

✘ Don’t
• Sleep on your front – this will stop your fresh brows sticking to your pillow case.
• Touch or scratch your eyebrows – touching or picking could cause irritation, infection & loss of pigment.
• Exercise (such as gym & classes) for 7-10 days after your service due to sweating. Gentle exercise is okay after the first few days.
• Put make up, cleansers, lotions (other than provided) on or close to your brows for 1-2 weeks to avoid irritation & CC.
• Use saunas, steam rooms or swimming pools for 2 weeks due to sweating, risk of getting your brows wet & hygiene.
• Have facials, lash extensions or other face beauty treatments done for 2 weeks to avoid irritation & CC.
• Use brow tint, sunbeds, chemical peels or any strong face treatment for 4 weeks as your skin will not be healed enough.
• Use anti-aging creams, chemical peels, acids or retinols on or close to your brows ever! Eyes downward is totally fine.
These products strip the skin / increase cell turnover and the chemicals in them can react and affect the ink / your retention.

Other things that can contribute to premature fading:
Frequent exercising & sweating / Oily skin / Tanning beds & sunbathing / Not using sun protection / Excessive exfoliating / Smoking
Harsh cleansers or anti-aging products / Fast metabolism / Iron deficiency / Hypo/er thyroidism / Hormone replacement medications / Other daily medications

Cleaning – Immediately after and for the rest of the day
First 1-2 hours: Firmly blot your brows every 10-15 mins to absorb any excreting lymph fluid. This is to prevent it drying on your brows, creating a thick scab. Clients with oilier skin will find they produce more lymph fluid.
When you get home: Wash your brows with the green soap provided in the pump bottle. Use 2 pumps, either separated onto clean fingertips or on a cotton pad, to cleanse the area. If you're using your fingers, make gentle circular motions through your brows. Remove any soap residue with a damp cotton pad, and thoroughly blot dry. If you're using cotton pads, gently wipe over your brows in one direction (nose to temple) several times. Thoroughly blot dry.
Before bed: Repeat the green soap routine.

Cleaning - Day 2 - 10
AM & PM: Repeat the green soap routine. This will help to keep the area clean and naturally lift any loose film away.

Lotion - Day 3 – 10
Once your brows start feeling drier you can start using a very small amount of lotion to help reduce flakiness, itching and to encourage healthy skin healing. After you
have done the green soap routine, let your brows air dry for a few minutes, then apply a grain of rice amount of lotion to your brows so they are slightly moisturised. They
should not look shiny or greasy.

After the film has fully lifted
Your brows will look lighter & possibly patchy compared to when freshly done. This is because you’re seeing your brows through healing skin which is thicker than normal skin. You can return to your usual face washing & make up routine after this point, but you still need to be careful with your brows for the full 6 weeks. Although your skin will look healed, it is still recovering under the surface so may feel tender. Don’t rub too hard, exfoliate or apply any strong products that may damage your regenerating skin.

Top tips
• Make sure you are wiping / pressing firmly enough so that you are actually cleaning your brows, but not too hard that you’re hurting yourself, irritating the tattoo or pulling the peel off.
• If your brows feel extra flakey or scabby, do not overcompensate by using lots more cream. You’re just trapping moisture behind the flakes / scabs which will delay healing.
• If you're getting closer to day 14 and still have a lot of flakes left, you probably haven't been cleaning firmly enough and you'll need to cleanse more to assist the film coming away. You may also have film trapped in your hairs.
