'ALOOR' or 'PigmentOff' SEMI PERMANENT MAKE UP LIGHTENER & REMOVAL TREATMENT
WHAT IS ALOOR TATTOO REMOVER?
Aloor is an alkaline removal solution created by Deluxe Brows for the lightening and removal of permanent make-up / microblading without needing to use a laser. The product is effective, comfortable, gentle to skin, safe for all FitzPatrick skin types, removes all colours and pigments and leaves no scars when used professionally. Aloor is made and certified in Europe.
Pigment-Off is also an alkaline based solution by the company Beauty Case in Germany where the product is manufactured and tested. It has the same purpose as Aloor but from experience is slightly stronger, so the healing / aftercare can be a little more scabby than Aloor. Typically I would suggest to everyone that we start off with Aloor to see how your skin copes during the removal session and healing period, and we can then proceed with Pigment-Off if we would like a faster or more dramatic result.
The choice of solution used will be discussed with you and the differences in healing will be addressed so you can make the best choice for yourself.

How do THE SOLUTIONS work?
They are able to bind to foreign bodies (pigments) and iron oxide residues to remove them via the skin surface. Instead of breaking up the pigment and dispersing it underneath the skin as a laser would do, the solution is tattooed into the skin (either manually or with a machine) which then allows it to bind to the pigment molecules to pull them back up out of your skin. The pigment leaves your skin the way it was implanted in the first place, instead of leaving your lymph channels to deal with disposing of the broken up pigment molecules through your lymph nodes. Multiple sessions are likely to be required to achieve desired results. It's not possible to say how many sessions would be needed as it all depends on the tattoo's age, how many times the area has been worked on, how deep the ink is etc. Sometimes laser can be more effective / faster depending on what your existing work looks like. I can recommend a laser tech based in Leeds.
WHY CHOOSE ALOOR OR PIGMENT OFF INSTEAD OF LASER REMOVAL?
For body tattooing, laser can cover a larger surface area in one go so is the obvious choice, but for a small area such as cosmetic tattooing, a removal solution can be less time consuming and more effective depending on the colour. The effectiveness of laser removal depends on the type of laser used and the quality of the machine and the technicians knowledge and experience. Lasers unfortunately can't recognise all colours unlike Aloor & Pigment Off, and in addition the method often reaches its limits when the once easily visible pigments do not have sufficient contrast to the skin (usually after several lightening/removal attempts). At this stage, laser removal will be less effective until possibly unsuccessful. White or beige colours shouldn't be treated with a laser at all (unless the colour can be altered and then removed). Removal of acrylic based pigments with a laser can be dangerous as these pigments can melt under the laser beam and lead to internal skin burns (and scarring).

✔ Do
• Keep your brows as clean and dry as you can for the first 7-10 days, to prevent a thick scab forming.
• Avoid shower water running directly over your face for the first 7-10 days.
• Avoid steamy baths & showers, saunas, steam rooms & swimming pools for the first 7-10 days.
• Avoid intense sweaty exercise for 7-10 days. Light, gentle exercising is okay after 3-4 days.
• Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks.
✘ Don’t
• Sleep on your front for the first few days – this will stop your brows sticking to your pillow case.
• Touch or scratch your eyebrows – touching & picking will cause irritation, loss of pigment and possible infection.
• Put make up, cleansers, lotions (other than provided) on or close to your brows for 1-2 weeks to avoid irritation & cross contamination.
• Have facials, lash extensions, brow tinting or other face beauty treatments done for 2 weeks to avoid irritation & cross contamination.
• Use sunbeds, chemical peels or any strong face treatment (unless it's from your eyes down) for 4 weeks as your skin will not be healed enough.

First 1-2 hours:
• Firmly blot your brows every 10 mins to absorb any excreting lymph fluid.
• This is to prevent it drying on your brows, creating a thick scab. Clients with oilier skin will find they produce more lymph fluid.
When you get home: Gently wipe over each eyebrow with a saline wipe to remove any lymph fluid. Wipe from your nose to temple in 1 direction, 2-3 times.
Before bed: Gently wipe over each eyebrow with a saline wipe to remove any lymph fluid. Wipe from your nose to temple in 1 direction, 2-3 times.
Day 2 - 10, AM & PM: Gently wipe over each eyebrow with a saline wipe to remove any lymph fluid. Wipe from your nose to temple in 1 direction, 2-3 times.
Day 3 – 10, AM & PM:
• Gently wipe over each eyebrow with a saline wipe to remove any lymph fluid. Wipe from your nose to temple in 1 direction, 2-3 times.
• Apply a grain of rice amount of lotion to your brows so they are slightly moisturised. They should not look shiny or greasy.
After the film has come away: The skin will be pink/red and will look thin/delicate. This is a sign of the skin regenerating and the colour will return to ‘normal’ within a few weeks. Don’t rub too hard, exfoliate or apply any strong products that may damage your regenerating skin for another 2-4 weeks.
